Little League New Bat Standards

USA (USSSA) Bats are the new standard for BASEBALL divisions

Updated Monday March 5, 2018 by Downtown Little League.

As you are aware, DLL provides all required equipment for the baseball season, including bats..  However, we recognize that many families will purchase their own bats and it is important that all bats comply with Little League standards.  As previously reported, Little League has changed its standards for approved bats, that will take effect on January 1, 2018.  If you intend to purchase your own bat, please review the link below.

Please note that many retail and online stores will continue to sell the legacy BBCOR "Little League approved" bats, however these no longer comply with current Little League standards.  The simple approach is to confirm that the bats comply with USA (or USSSA) bat standards.  Do not get confused if the USA bats are not labeled as Little League approved.. This is the new bat standard - not BBCOR.

Please do not simply discard your old bats as we are looking at ways to donate and/or recycle. Additionally, we are working with vendors to determine if it is feasible to have a bat day somewhere in the neighborhood where the kids have an opportunity to swing and purchase/order the USA bats.
